Down the boulevard-green center strip of Comm Ave, underneath tall leafy trees and a gathering thunderstorm, lovers are sitting on marble stoops below statues of Hope and Victory. A little girl pushing her sister in a stroller is trying to touch William Lloyd Garrison's big bronzed feet.
