Down the boulevard green center strip of Comm Ave, underneath an impending thunderstorm and tall leafy trees, lovers are sitting on marble stoops below statues of Hope and Victory. A little girl pushing her sister in a stroller is trying to touch William Lloyd Garrison's big bronzed feet.
